Local pub was relocating so they wanted to clear out their old stuff. They’re in pretty good condition, very solid. We’re going to reupholster them and paint the legs.

I’ve never noticed the tailgate latch details on your Taco, those are pretty neat. Also, nice find on the stools.

Very cool, but I wouldn’t paint the legs, I’d just sand and refinish them. Not a fan of painted wood pretty much anywhere.

If the wood is fine I wouldn’t paint it over, refinishing them shouldn’t be too hard and just some linseed oil could do wonders.

That’s what I am pushing for. My wife has a thing for... “improving” things with paint where it does not need such application.

Thanks! They’re pretty great.

Painted wood is worst wood. Sand em down, stain them up, and murder them with polyurethane.
Do replace the cushions when you reupholster though. That foam has absorbed a LOT of beer farts.

It pains me every time I walk into an old house and see what (probably) used to be beautiful oak trim painted white.

Ever seen painted hardwood floors? I feel like my heart may explode from mourning.
